Qaani Signals Expanded Regional Alliance Across Key Maritime Routes

(MENAFN) Iran’s Quds Force commander said on Monday that a newly emerging security framework would span a vast area connecting the Strait of Hormuz and Bab al-Mandab, extending from the Gulf region to the Red Sea.

According to reports, Esmail Qaani stated that recent operations carried out by groups aligned with Iran across the region reflected increasing cooperation among members of what Tehran refers to as the “resistance front.”

“The timely and powerful action of heroic Yemen shows the wisdom of the resistance front. If necessary, others will also join,” he said.

Qaani also cautioned that actions taken by Israel and the United States in the region could trigger responses from allied factions.

“The provocations of the Zionist regime and the United States in this region will be met with a reaction from the united resistance front,” he said.

He further claimed that forces associated with the resistance front are stationed near strategically important maritime passages.

“Borderless fighters are overlooking your transit chokepoints. Continue your aggression and they will seize you by the throat,” he warned.
